Have you ever done something totally stupid while cooking?

I was making bread with my cousin, who was about 3-4, and read the back of the packet of yeast wrong (it had the instructions for making bread). Instead of 2 TEASPOONS of salt, I put in 2 TABLESPOONS.

I still blame that on my cousin... just because he was there, and my full attention wasn't on the bread!

lol! I can't cook. But once I was making mac&cheese and I forgot to add water, so when I put it in the microwave, it burnt. XD I can't even make microwave mac&cheese right. >.< lol.

Oh, I've just remembered the time I was trying to make pasta in the microwave. I put a single piece of pasta in the microwave (to see if it would cook like that, before I added more?), and it burnt. I'd also forgotten to add some water. Lol, I couldn't see for smoke!

lol.

My sister wanted to know how to make hot fudge once so i told her its just melted chocolate and she took it literally and put chocolate in the microwave for 2 minutes... we had to get out of the house for a while lol smoke was coming out of the microwave.

Wow! hmm.... that'd probably taste pretty good. XD

My friend and I put a bunch of marshmallows on a plate and put them in the microwave to "roast" them.
they started to bubble, and within fifteen seconds the pile of marshmallows inflated to ten times their size.
we ended up having to wash her microwave and plates.
it took about forty minutes to clean everything xD

That sounds.. fun.

Not the cleaning up part, mind, but the putting marshmallows in the microwave.

I once bought 3 big bags of grapes from the market (£1 for 3 huge bags is really good value though!), and I had to carry them around college all day. Anyway, at lunch I was playing on my phone, and googled 'grape' and this experiment came up - involving putting grapes in the microwave. I SOO wanted to try it out, so I asked my mum, but she said no. I need to wait until next time I'm home alone! lol

Oh, and apparently, if you put lightbulbs in the microwave they go purple.

I don't think so. I think it was making them explode.
